Smart Organization

Can you imagine a world without email? Would it be possible to avoid the headaches of an overflowing inbox, archiving messages, ongoing email chains, and making sure you’ve responded properly to each message? This idea almost seems impossible as we’ve built our lives around email communication, and in many respects, the way we hold ourselves accountable.

One may argue that email can even be an obstacle, creating a long strand of emails that are reliant upon when the person responds, when a five minute phone call could have proved to be just as productive.

Yes, the death of email would present a new way of working, but have we not shown that we are capable of changing with technology? From the evolution of email, to social networking and how we incorporate that in both our personal and professional lives, society has shown, change is not impossible!

Alternative solutions are not that far-stretched from tools that are already available in most companies – Enterprise Content Management Systems, Inter- and Intranet forums or communities, instant messaging and microblogging, task and workflow management systems (web, portals), collaborative tooling (wikis), and the age old method….personal contact!
